Gincy Paul Boone, 97, of Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023 at Wickshire Creeks Crossing in Raeford.

Gincy was born on October 25, 1925 in Robeson County to the late Vance Paul and Linnie Ann Deese Paul. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo J. Boone and a son, Danny Boone.

She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, and loved listening to gospel music and watching gospel television. She had a passion for gardening. She was a retired hairdresser.

Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Chapel. A burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Tuesday, prior to the service.

She was the loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother of her daughter, Deanna Pottenger and husband Steve; grandchildren, Harry Hanson and wife Angi, Melissa Hanson, Heather Zoch and husband Bryce, Amy Yurich and husband John, Leo Hanson and wife Jessica, David Pottenger and wife Jenny, Michael Pottenger and fiance Jessica, Thomas Pottenger and wife Samantha; and numerous great grandchildren and great grandchildren.
