Mrs. Gladys N. Thompson, 91, of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband Avery D. Thompson. Gladys is survived by her daughters; Patricia Michalski and husband Roger of Connecticut, Susan Spinosa and husband Michael of Fayetteville, Fay Palmisano and husband Paul of Fayetteville, sons; Avery D Thompson, Jr. of Fayetteville, Randy Thompson and wife Liz of Fayetteville, one brother; James Norton of Spring Lake, 13 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. A funeral service for Mrs. Gladys N. Thompson will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 2:00pm in the Jernigan - Warren Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverend Eckwood Lancaster officiating. The burial will follow in the Singletary United Methodist Church Cemetery, located in Dublin, NC. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2011, from 6-8 pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
