Mrs. Glenna B. Pridgen, 71, of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2009, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. She was born June 12, 1937, to the late John D. and Lettie Barefoot. Jean was a devoted, loving wife, mother and friend. She was her daughter's best friend and confidant. Together with her daughter and son-in-law , many wonderful times were shared. She enjoyed her friends, and especially the Eastover Senior Citizens and Sears Retiree clubs, and deeply appreciated their support and camaraderie, especially after the loss of her loving husband of 45 years. Mrs. Pridgen was preceded in death by her husband, Felton Pridgen; and a brother, the Rev. Wayne Barefoot. Mrs. Pridgen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Charles Davis; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:45 pm Friday, January 9, 2009, at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 3 pm Friday in Lafayette Memorial Park with the Rev.
