Gloria Ann
(Currin) Miller
November 16, 1936 – December 20, 2023
Gloria Ann Currin Miller, 87 of Fayetteville, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.
Gloria was born in Wake County on November 16, 1936, to the late Burnice Sherman Currin and Pauline Green Currin. After several years the family moved to a farm in Cumberland County where Gloria would grow up enjoying the land, swimming in the pond, and riding bikes with her brother and sister.
She was a devout Christian and Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where her testimony was strong, and her faith brought many to Christ.
She was an excellent cook and biscuits were her specialty. Not only did she bake the best biscuit, but she also taught her family and others how to make them with the same technique she learned from her mother. Everybody was loved and welcomed at Gloria's home, and she shared many meals with others around her table.
She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. Her contagious smile and big hugs will greatly be missed along with the kindness and grace she shared with everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Deston Russell Miller, and her brother, Charles Currin.
Gloria is survived by her son, Donnie Miller, and wife Tamara; daughters, Charlene Miller and Cheryl Miller; sister, Betty Jo Currie and husband Dennis; grandchildren, Christi Miller-Gawthrop and husband Matt, Shea McGee and husband Syd, Austin Miller and wife Laura; great grandchildren, Wren, Piper, Ivy, Rowan, and Margot.
