Gloria Anne Smith Miller of Merry Hill, N.C., passed away Saturday, October 22, 2011. Born November 18, 1960, she grew up in Clinton, N.C. She was a graduate of Clinton High school and Harbarger College in Raleigh, N.C.
Gloria was a former insurance agent, serving Pilot Life Ins. Co. and an Interior designer with Beek Stones, in Clinton S.C. Gloria was a former member of Grove Park Baptist Church, Clinton N.C. She was very active in her church activities. A former beauty pageant winner with Miss Clinton, N.C. A voice Major of Mrs. Barbara Taylor she performed for beauty contest, the Miss Spiveys Corner and Miss Clinton, N.C. beauty pageant. She is preceded in death by her father Marshall Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Miller of the home; a son, Nathaniel Steven Harrell of Greenville N.C.; daughter, Anne Marshall Harrell of Wilmington, N.C.; son Joseph Caine Harrell of Fayetteville; her mother, Nancy Cain Smith of Fayetteville; five step-children, Christine, Kim, Cori, Ricky, and Jennifer; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gloria Anne Smith Miller will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 4:00pm in the Jernigan Warren Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by the Reverend Ed Rogers and Reverend Jerry Hood. The burial will follow the funeral service at Lafayette Memorial Park. A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home from 6pm to 8pm. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the National Adrenal Disease Fondation, 505 Northern Blvd. Great Neck, NY 11021 or your favorite charity.
