EASTOVER - Mrs. Grace Ann Autry Faircloth, 92, of Eastover, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
Mrs. Faircloth was a lifelong member of Salem United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir for more than 40 years. She served as the church historian and on the administrative council and the worship committee, and was a member of the United Methodist Women.
She worked in various retail positions in Fayetteville; directed many high profile weddings and made numerous wedding cakes for couples in the area.
Her funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, in Salem United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dr. William Snotherly and the Rev. Lawrence Lugar officiating. Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Alston Cain, Radford Rich, Wayne Smith, Terry White, Donald Bullock and Bruce Sykes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, retired Fayetteville Police Captain David Thomas Faircloth; a daughter, Barbara Ann Faircloth; her parents, John Gray Autry and Essie Bolton Autry; and two sisters, Virginia Cain Overton and Mary Lee Gilliam.
She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Faircloth Kosman and her husband, Martin J. Kosman, of Eastover; a niece, Cynthia Gilliam White of Sanford; and two nephews, Alston G. Cain of Myrtle Beach and Leonard Faircloth of Baltimore, Md.
The family received friends Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
