Wade-Grover C. \\"G.C.\\" Taylor Jr., 83, of Wade, died Thursday, Dec 14, 2006, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. A graveside service will be held at 11 am Saturday in Old Bluff Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Dr. Robert Yoder will officiate the service. Mr. Taylor was a farmer in the Wade community. He was predeceased by a son, Anthony Wayne Taylor. He is survived by his wife, Rachel Taylor of the home; sons, Grover C. Taylor III, of Raeford, and Ted Jeffrey Taylor of Wade; daughter, Sula Grey Dawes of Lillington; 2 sisters, Mavis Lucas of Wade and Sylvia Lucas of Fayetteville; brother, Graham Oliver Taylor of California; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
