Guy Cliff Danley, of Fayetteville, NC, died unexpectedly on September 16, 2016 at the age of 59.

Guy is survived by his wife Debbie Danley of North Carolina; his parents, Fin and Beverlee Danley of Washington; his two sons Joshua Danley of Texas and Jonathan Danley of California; his daughter, Melissa Patterson of Oregon; 7 treasured grandchildren; his sisters Cheryl Vucko of Australia and Leeanne Gossman of Washington; nieces and nephews; Aunt Ibba Danley of Michigan; and Uncle Barry Foster of Colorado; cousins; and many other loved ones attached to those listed.

Guy was born December 26, 1956 in Pomona, California. He enlisted in the United States Army when he turned 18, serving with the 529th Military Police Co. and Honor Guard in Heidelberg, Germany and West Point. After the Army and a detour as a high-rise welder, he became a Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff in 1985, retiring in 1998. He and Debbie moved from Tehachapi, California to North Carolina in 2006 to be near his grandchildren. Wherever he lived , he used his diverse skills to provide for his family and serve others. He was a cowboy at heart, loved God, worked hard, and enjoyed his family, dogs, fishing, and a good joke. Guy was an amazing man, husband, son, father, brother and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
