Mr. Hobert Steven Johnson, 70, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Steve was born in Surry County, NC, to the late Hobert Baird Johnson and Virginia Pauline Seal Johnson.  He was retired from the US Army as a Master Sergeant, E8, with Special Forces (Troll) and was the owner of Regal Carpet Care.

A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022, in the Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home Chapel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Morrison Johnson.

Steve is survived by his daughters, Lisa Capps (James), Tracy Bunce (Brent), Makayla Johnson, and Julia Johnson, all of Fayetteville; a brother, Samuel Johnson of Sumter, SC; a sister, Susan Beamer of Hillsville, VA; and 5 grandchildren.
