Mr. Harold Alexander Traynham, Jr. 87 of Fayetteville went to be with his Savior and Lord on Sunday, June 1, 2014 in his home. Harold was an Army veteran of World War II. He is a retired Army civil service worker. Mr. Traynham was a faithful member of Cedar Falls Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, softball coach for the men's and women's and youth softball teams. He was a leader in the youth department at Cedar Falls Baptist Church. Harold was inducted into the South Carolina Fast-Pitch Softball Hall of Fame. He was preceded in death by his parents Minnie and Harold Traynham, Sr., and his wife Ella Mae Traynham; brother James Traynham and sister Evelyn Traynham. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Cedar Falls Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeffrey Sholar, officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey St. The family will receive friends at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Mr. Traynham is survived by his son David E. Traynham of Fayetteville; daughter Carol Traynham Faircloth and husband Marshall of Fayetteville; grandchildren Bradley Thomas Hutchinson and wife Amy of Fayetteville and Lisa Hutchinson Hester and husband Chris of Fayetteville; great grandchildren Alexis Grace Hester, Addison Elizabeth Hester and Hannah Elizabeth Love. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Cedar Falls Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeffrey Sholar, officiating.
