Mr. Harold Grey Lovick, 81, of Eastover, died Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Mr. Lovick was an Army veteran of WWII. He was retired from Sears after 28 years. He was a lifetime member of Salem United Methodist Church and was a member of Knights of Pythias. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009, at 3 pm in Salem United Methodist Church with Dr. William Snotherly and Rev. Mary Frances McLure officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joan Lovick of the home; his son, Steven Lovick and his wife, Annette Lovick, of Eastover; 2 grandsons, Stuart Grey Lovick and Will Cameron Lovick; 2 sisters, Janice Thomas of Suffolk, VA and Bonnie Lee of Dunn; and brother, Walter Stanford Lovick of Wade. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Friday evening at the funeral home and other times at 3367 Flea Hill Road.
