Robinson
February 5, 2016
Harriett Agnes Robinson, 93, died Friday, February 5, 2016.
She is survived by her sister, Mary R. Greyard of McDonald; her nephews and nieces, Alex Greyard of Spivey's Corner, Heman Robinson III of Hillsborough, Harry Greyard of Charlotte, Anne Hope Heflin of Clifton, Va., and Mary Crews of Chapel Hill; her great-nieces and great nephew, Mary A. Greyard, Evan Heflin, Brynna Heflin, Bonnie Crews, and Eleanor Crews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Heman H. Robinson and Agnes Cromartie Robinson; and her brother, Heman H. Robinson Jr.
Miss Robinson was a native of Elizabethtown and graduated from Elizabethtown High School and the University of South Carolina. She was a pioneer among pharmacists, working as one of the first 10 female pharmacists licensed in North Carolina. During her more than 40-year career, she served drug stores and hospitals in Raeford, Charlotte, Lumberton, Pinehurst and Fayetteville, and retired from Eckerd Drugs.
She enjoyed membership in the Business and Professional Women's club. She was a long-time member of Elizabethtown Presbyterian Church and regularly attended Vaughn Memorial Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville.
She relished summer days at White Lake, topped off by political discussions and games of Scrabble or bridge. She always appreciated having a dog as a pet. Whether she took care of the dogs or they took care of her was never entirely clear.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, at Vaughn Memorial Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville. Family members will greet friends immediately following the service.
Her ashes will be interred later in the family plot at Old Trinity Cemetery in Elizabethtown.
Friends are sending memorial gifts to Vaughn Memorial Presbyterian Church or Elizabethtown Presbyterian Church.
