Harris Rudolph Hill, 93, of Fayetteville, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021.
Harris was born on June 27, 1928, in Donalsonville, GA. To the late Joseph Clarence Hill and Eddie Lu Hayes Hill.
He attended Auburn University and received his master's degree from Baylor University in Hospital Administration. He retired as a Colonel in the US Army after 30 years of service. After retiring from the military, he worked for Kerr Drug and Revco (CVS). He was a volunteer pharmacist at the Care Clinic on Robeson St. Mr. Hill was also a Mason and a member of First Presbyterian Church.
He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Rich Hill, a brother, Bernard Hill and two sisters, Hazel Martin and Eunice Messner.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Hill; daughter, Rhonda Hill; sons, Jeffrey Hill and Joel Hill (Michael Kersey); stepdaughter, CeCe Robinson Pettry (CD); stepson, Sandy Thompson (Reaves); grandson, Jason Hill; step grandchildren, Beth Thompson Taylor (Paul), Emily Thompson, Alex Thompson, Charlie Pettry; great grandson, Jack Taylor, and two great granddaughters.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021, at 2 pm in the Jernigan-Warren Chapel. The family requests that masks be worn by all in attendance.
