Hazel Young Goodman, of Fayetteville, was born to the late James Curtis Young and Ida Graham Young in Bladen County. She departed this life on Saturday, April 16, 2016. She was a member of Cape Fear Baptist Church and WMU. She retired from Western Publishing Company as an Auditor.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at 2 pm in Cape Fear Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Swett and Rev. Ken Simmons presiding. The burial will follow at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery.

Hazel leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 50 years, Roy Goodman; a daughter, Helen Young Goodman and husband Bruce Goodman of Clinton; two grandchildren, Andrea Goodman of Clinton and Jamie Goodman of Cary; one great-grandchild, Jana Goodman of Cary; surviving brothers, Herbert Young of East Arcadia, and Junior Young (Elvie) of Council; and a sister, Barbara Young (David) of Council. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Oree Young of Lake Waccamaw, and JC Young of Council; and a sister, Irma Moore of Clarkton.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 to 9 pm at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home.
