Helen King Dawkins, 91, of Fayetteville passed away Thursday, October, 21, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Helen was born April 28, 1930 in Newton Grove, NC to the late Zella and Lewis C. King.

Helen is survived by her son, James Richter; daughter, Kathygail Shandor and husband Danny; sister, Lellon Stanley and husband Jay; grandson, Mickey York and wife Shannon; 4 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; her beloved Kit Cat.

She retired at 87 years old from the Cumberland County Council for Older Adults.

A Gathering of Friends will be on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 3-4:00 pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
