Ms. Helen Marsena Gibbs, 74, of 3256 Turtle Point Drive, Apt D., died Monday, Jan. 25, 2010. Ms. Gibbs was a member of Cape Fear Baptist Church. She retired from Purolator Products Inc. Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, at 3:30 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville with the Rev. Leonard Gibbs officiating. Burial will follow in Cape Fear Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 3:30 today at the funeral home. Ms. Gibbs was preceded in death by her parents, James M. Gibbs Sr. and Mildred M. Tyler Gibbs; sister, Pauline Gibbs-Serna; and brother, Floyd W. Gibbs. She is survived by a daughter, Hope Helen Gibbs-Godin and husband Josh of Redondo Beach, Calif., sisters, Ella Mae Gibbs of Charlotte, Patricia Ann Gibbs-Mareno of St. Augustine, Fla. and Leola Gibbs of Fayetteville; brothers, Leonard Douglas Gibbs of Alpharetta, Ga. and James Morgan Gibbs of Fayetteville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
