Herman D. Hairr FAYETTEVILLE — Herman David Hairr, of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, in his home, surrounded by his family. Mr. Hairr was the owner and operator of Herman D. Hairr Sheetrock Finishing of the Fayetteville area for more than 50 years. He was a very devoted husband, family man and faithful servant of the Lord. "From birth I was cast on you; from my mother's womb you have been my God." Psalms 22:10. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Wylie and Viona Hairr; his loving and faithful wife of 57 years, Doris Bullard Hairr; brothers, Furman and Bill Hairr; and sister, Mary Lou Parson. He is survived by sisters, Betty Hauer and Nell Herring of Fayetteville, and Christine Branner and husband William of Charlotte; brother, Wilbert Hairr and wife Eleanor of Stedman; children, Diana Fisher and husband Franklin of Fayetteville, Jackie Hairr and wife Judy of Fayetteville, Peggy Boyington of Fayetteville and George Hairr and wife Ellen of Nashville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Terry Fisher and wife Angela, Tonya Pearson and husband Dan, Ryan Hairr and wife Mary Shannon, Kevin Hairr and wife Jennifer, Catina Hairr, Victoria Godwin and husband Andy, Brian Boyington and wife Sheri, and Brandon Boyington and wife Courtney; and great-grandchildren Colby, Dylon, Dalton, McKenna, Spencer, Rhett, Bryson, Jake, Zoey, Haly, Gavin, Joseph, Austin, Ethan, Devon, Malorie, Caleb, Kamari Allen, and Khalil Alex; longtime beloved family friend, Lucille Faircloth; and some truly special angels, Patti Shackett, Carol Autry, Carolyn Newton and Sherry Sterrick, who recently came into the lives of the Hairr family. The visitation will be from 6 to 8pm, Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, in Praise Fellowship, with interment to follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. The Family will receive friends Tuesday, October 30, 2012 from 6pm to 8pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home, The funeral will be held Wednesday October 31, 2012 at 2pm in Praise Fellowship Church, Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street.
