FAYETTEVILLE Mrs. Hilda Rivera Pena, 84, of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016, in her residence.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016, at 10:30 am in St. Matthews United Methodist Church with Rev. Matthew Seals and Dr. Tryon Lancaster presiding. The burial will follow at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake.

Prior to moving to NC in 2000 Hilda resided in Lakehurst, NJ. She worked at Lakewood Napa for 15 years. Hilda supported many non profit organizations and was very involved in church functions.

Hilda was preceded in death by her daughter, Rosalba Pena.

She is survived by her husband, Santos Pena of the home; two sons, Jose Pena and Joseph R. Pena; 5 grandchildren, Joseph Santos Pena, Micahel Paul Pena, Joseph Richard Pena, Jr., Robert Michael Pena, and Sarah Marie Lawson; and 3 great-grandchildren, Eli True DaConceicao, Cecelia Lawson, and McKenzie Pena.

The family will be receiving friends at their home.
