Fayetteville NC- Mr. Horace Alton "Al" Warren, 75, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, August 12, 2008, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 15, 2008, at 2 pm in Jernigan Warren Chapel with Rev. Gary Leviner officiating. The burial will follow at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Warren was born in Halifax County to the late Claude and Nettie Warren. He worked for Carolina Telephone & Telegraph/SPRINT for 42 years before retiring. He had served in the U.S. Air Force. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Claude Warren, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Martha Warren of the home; two daughters, Fran Cooper and husband, Jimmy, of Fayetteville, and Lisa Faircloth of Fayetteville; a son, Al Warren Jr and his wife Katrinia, of Fayetteville; a sister, Faye Gay of Clinton, NC; a brother, George Warren of Roanoke Rapids; 6 grandchildren, Jessica, Mitchell, Trey, Nick, Colby, and Billy; and 2 great-grandchildren, Ayla and Leanna. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday evening at Jernigan Warren.
