Mr. Hoyt Stewart, 90, of Fayetteville, died Thursday, November 19, 2009, at his residence. Mr. Stewart was a lifelong resident of the Cedar Creek Community where he farmed. He was a member of Cumberland Union Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Sunday, November 22, 2009, in Cumberland Union Baptist Church with Rev. John Blackman officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Hall Stewart of the home; 3 sons, Curtis E. Stewart and wife Mary, of Mary Esther, Florida, Jackie Norwood Stewart and wife Bobby, of Fayetteville, and Neal D. Stewart of Fayetteville; two daughters, Brenda Kay Carter and husband Jimmy, of Fayetteville and Angela May Packer of Fayetteville; brother, Clarence Stewart and wife Martha of Fayetteville; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm Saturday evening in the Cumberland Union Baptist Church fellowship hall.
