Miss Idell Virgie Walters, 91, of Lumberton, formerly of Fayetteville, died Sunday, February 3, 2013, in the Golden Living Center.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at 11 o'clock a.m. in the LaFayette Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Fayetteville with Rev. Brian Woodall presiding. The family will receive friends following the service.
Miss Walters was retired from civil service after a career which spanned time in both Japan and Ft. Bragg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillie Mae and John Walters; sisters, Irene, Lula Mae, and Betty Joyce; and brothers, Johnny, Richard, and Jasper.
She is survived by her brother, Dupree V. Walters of North Port, Florida; and sisters, Joanna Musselwhite of St. Pauls, Elouise Walters of Wilmington, and Drucella W. West of Lumberton.
