Mrs. Inez Ray Eller, 106, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2012. She was born on November 30, 1905, near Linden, N.C. to Laura Lucas Ray and Angus Ray. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Austin R. Eller; son, Don C. Eller; four sisters, Beulah, Beatrice and Louise Ray and Dorothy Ray Hall; and four brothers, Raymond, David, Lector and Angus Ray. She is survived by one daughters, Barbara Ann, four grandchildren, Donna E. McCann, Don Eller, Jr. Christy Oakley and Candace Stooksbury; four great grandchildren, Katie and Beth McCann and Austin and Jessica Oakley; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Eller was a retired teacher and a longtime member of First Presbyterian church. Services will be held Monday, February 13, 2012 in First Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m. Family will receive friends in the church parlor at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow the service at Lafayette Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church building fund. The family will receive friends Monday, February 13, 2012, from 10am to 10:50 am at First Presbyterian Church in the church parlor. The funeral will follow in the sanctuary at 11am with Dr. John W. Coker, Jr. officiating. The burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street.
