J. Harold Roberts, 80, of 423 Fairfax Ave., Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007. Mr. Roberts was born in Richmond, Va., to the late Dewey and Georgia Evans Roberts. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Pahl; and a brother, Douglas Roberts. J. Harold Roberts is survived by his wife, Louise; a son, Ken Roberts of North Wilkesboro; a daughter, Julia Palmer and her children, Mackenzie and Nelson Palmer, all of Winston-Salem; a sister-in-law, Christine Roberts of Fayetteville; two nephews, Mike Roberts of Washington, D.C., and Sam Roberts of Rehoboth Beach, Del.; and a niece, Nancy Dixon and husband Joe of Wade. There will be no visitation at the funeral home but friends are welcome at the home. A private graveside service will be held at Lafayette Memorial Park on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007, at 11 a.m. with the Chaplain Jane Jones officiating.
