Obituary

Jack Richard Fulp, 95, of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Jack was born on February 20, 1931, in Aurora, Missouri to the late Albert Fulp and Helen Johnson Fulp. He spent part of his younger years in California before joining the United States Army, where he proudly served his country for 30 years. Retiring with the rank of Sergeant Major, Jack served with the Special Forces and was the recipient of both the Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal. His devotion to the Army and to his fellow servicemen was unwavering throughout his life.

Jack was a loving husband, devoted father, caring brother, and a generous friend to many. He was known for his kind heart, willingness to help others, and the deep love he shared with his family. Most of all, he cherished his role as "Papa Jack" to his beloved granddaughter, Rachel, who brought him immense joy.

In his spare time, Jack enjoyed playing golf with his friends and spending time with those he loved most.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Randall Fulp; siblings, Butch Fulp, Charles David Fulp, Bob Fulp, Ramona Garrison and Maxine Bryan.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 60 years, Angie Sommerer Fulp; daughters, Jennifer Rosien and husband Mick, and Rebecca Horne; granddaughter, Rachel Horne; sisters, Mary Jane Moldenhauer, Gloria DeGrado, and Wilma Jeffries; special nephew, Jeff Bryan; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
