Obituary

Retired US Army Command Sergeant Major Jack Bryant Huggins, 73, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, December 6, 2006, at his residence. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and served for over 30 years, from 1953 to 1984. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, at 12:30 pm in St. John's Episcopal Church by the Rev. Brent Melton. Burial will follow in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake, with full military honors at 2 pm. He is survived by his wife, Faye D. Huggins of the home; a daughter, Lisa Towle of Cary; three sons, Jack B. Huggins, Jr. of Georgia, Alan D. Huggins of South Carolina, and Barry F. Huggins of Washington state; a brother, Ray Huggins of Arizona; a sister, Virginia Haddock of Trenton; two brothers, Billy Huggins and Clifton Huggins, both of Kinston; and six grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Advantage Hospice and Homecare, 1710 Owen Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28304.
