Mrs. Jackalee Gonzalez Wagner, 77, of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday evening, September 22, 2012, at the Carrol S. Roberson Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at 1 pm in Jernigan Warren Chapel with Father Jack Kelly presiding. The burial will be private. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday from noon to one p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born December 28, 1934, in Harrison, West Virginia, to the late Jake and Ella Gonzalez.
Mrs. Wagner was an Army veteran and played the clarinet in the Women's Army Corps Band. She was very involved with the Fayetteville Area Weight Watchers. Above all, she was very family oriented and especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, William Wagner, and a sister, Anna Lee.
She is survived by her son, Larry Wagner and his wife, Renee, of Fayetteville; daughter, Deborah Wagner Key and husband, Jerry, of Cameron; four grandchildren, Darian, Stephanie, Arthur, and Christine; five great-grandchildren, Catherine, Brooke, Austin, Ashley, and Ethan; and two sisters, Karen Nestor and husband, Lloyd, and Rosella Gonzalez, all of Clarksburg, WV.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 8300 Health Park Suite #10, Raleigh, NC 27615.
