FAYETTEVILLE - James Paul Barton Jr., 68, of Fayetteville, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 15, 2011. He leaves behind a legacy that testifies to what a wonderful husband, father, Papa and friend, who loved the Lord with all of his heart. He has left behind to his family wonderful memories that we will cherish forever. He was a prayer warrior and his faith was bigger than life. He was always there to help. He never met a stranger and would give his last quarter to anyone who needed it. He left a loving mark and will be missed very much. He will continue his legacy through his wife, Joann Gray Barton; son, James Paul Barton III; daughter, Candace Elizabeth Barton Stafford; and grandchildren, James Paul Barton IV, Taylar Elizabeth Stafford, Blake Michael Stafford, and Graysen Eugene Stafford. We love you, Papa! A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 19, 2011, in Lafayette Memorial Park at 11 a.m. A visitation will follow the service at the graveside.
