James Olen Beasley,75, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018. He was born on October 12, 1942.

A native of Fayetteville, James was an avid athlete, excelling in many sports while attending Massey Hill High School. He developed a lifelong passion for golf and was admired as a youth recreation baseball coach for many years. He was loved by and brought much laughter to family, friends and his extended work family in the automotive industry at Crown Dodge.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Russell Beasley and Ruth Gore Beasley; his sisters, Merita Beasley Royal and Lois Beasley Hall; and his beloved wife of forty years, Faye Guthrie Beasley.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, James Gregory Beasley and wife, Sarah; daughter, Shari Gainey and husband Jeff; four grandchildren, Logan and Landry Gainey and Katy and Caroline Beasley; his beloved companion, Diane Loesekann; a brother, Chris Beasley, and a host of extended family and dear friends.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, July 13th at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018 in Jernigan-Warren Chapel with Chaplain Tim Gore officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park.
