RAEFORD - The Rev. James Calvin Blackwell, 59, of Raeford, died Sunday, May 8, 2011, in his home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011, in Hope Mills Church of God, with the Rev. Tommy Lewis, Brother Jerry McDowell, Brother Tommy Blackwell and Archie Blackwell officiating. Burial will be in Lee-Young Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight, Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. The Rev. Blackwell is survived by two sons, James Marshall Blackwell and Brian Heath Blackwell of the home; his father, James Blackwell of Linden; a brother, Danny Blackwell of Fayetteville; two sisters, Shelby Blackwell Mocha of Hope Mills and Lena Darlene Tracy of Linden; and Tammy Patterson and Samantha Patterson, closest friend and the daughter he always wanted.
