Obituary

James "Jim" Franklin Blair, Jr, 83, of Fayetteville, NC, died Saturday, December 23, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his family.

Jim was born March 27, 1940, in Ravenna, OH, to the late James Franklin Blair, Sr and Ruth Bushong Blair.  He retired from the US Army Special Forces.   Jim was the owner of Blair's Electric and retired after 17 years with Fayetteville Technical Community College advancing from electrical instructor to Chairman to Division Chairman of Building Trades.

Jim is survived by his wife, Nancy Blair; daughters, Peggy Arndt-Savolainen, Pamela Bond (and husband Bruce), Judy Carter (and husband Wes) and Tammie Siner (and husband Neal); son, Christopher Beer (and wife Stephanie); sister, Barbara Allen (and husband Roger); twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two nieces; and two nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his second wife, Elizabeth Blair; a daughter, Debbie Moore; and a brother, Richard Blair.

A memorial service, with military honors, will be conducted Friday, February 2, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Fort Liberty, NC.
