EASTOVER - James Buie, 76, of Eastover, died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at his residence. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, and also served with the 82nd Airborne. He was retired from Pope AFB Officers' Club barber shop and from the construction industry, and was a life long member of Second Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2009, in Second Baptist Church. The burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. He is survived by his wife, LouEllen Buie of the home; son, James H. Buie and wife, Arlene of Eastover; brothers, Francis and Wade Buie, both of Fayetteville; and three grandchildren, Reagan Parrish, Lauren Buie and Amanda Buie. Memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church Building Fund.
