James Robert Dees, Jr., 64, of Fayetteville passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at his home.

James was born on August 26, 1957, in Camp Pendleton, California to James Robert Dees, Sr. and Martha Joan Gardner Dees. He was employed at Good Year Tire Co. as an area manager.

James was a loving son, husband, father, brother, grandpa, and friend to all who knew him.  His ideal day was spending time on his boat, "Sea's the Day", cruising the inland waterway or wetting a hook waiting for a bite.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Jernigan-Warren Chapel at 12:15 p.m. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.

James was preceded in death by his father, James Robert Dees, Sr. and his son, James Robert Dees III.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Nancy Dees; daughters, Stephany Marchel (Thomas) and Jaimie Dees; son, David Dees; mother, Joan Dees; grandchildren, Ryan, Jordyn, Sydney, Crystal, Jared, and Micah; brothers, Ronnie Dees, Timmy Dees (Diane) and David Dees; fur babies, Cleo and Lou.
