Obituary

James E. Everette, Jr. of Hope Mills, NC exchanged what was left of his earthly body for eternal joy in heaven with his Lord and Savior and love of his life, Judy, on Saturday, August 13, 2016.

Born February 4, 1934, he was the first child of James Elbert Everette, Sr. and Mabel McMillan Everette. Reared in Parkton, NC, "Big Jim" served his country as a member of the US Army during the Korean War and the State of North Carolina as a member of the Highway Patrol and Department of Motor Vehicles for better than thirty years.

Jim and Judy were married for 53 years and were blessed with two sons, James (Jim) Everette, III of Wilmington, NC and Richard (Dean) Everette of Hope Mills. The four children added three grandchildren: Jonathan Everette (Mary Clifton) of Wilmington, Austin Everette of Hope Mills and Megan Everette Barbour (Joshua) of Wilmington-that were loved dearly by their "Papa."
