Mr. James Frederick "Freddie" "Grumpy" Hobson, 67, of Fayetteville, passed away early Wednesday morning, February 7, 2018.

Grumpy was the former owner of Spring Lake Muffler Shop. He loved fishing, both salt and freshwater; and his great sense of humor will remain in our hearts.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 3 pm in Jernigan-Warren Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 to 3 pm.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Thomas Hobson; and his brother, Danny Hobson.

Freddie is survived by his wife of 46 years, Glenda Bolton Hobson; daughter, Jessica Leigh Hobson, both of the home; mother, Emma Lee Hobson of Fayetteville; and sister, Linda Kay Hayes of Norfolk, VA.
