Retired US Army Lt. Colonel James Alvin "Jim" Lattimore, 91, of Fayetteville, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at 3 pm in Jernigan Warren Chapel with Rt. Rev. Richard Wagner presiding.

Jim served in the US Army for 27 years before retiring.

He was preceded in death by a son, William.

Jim is survived by his wife of 69 years, Nancy; sons, James, Charles, and Patrick; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
