Obituary

Keasling, James E. FAYETTEVILLE - James Eugene Keasling, 69, of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2009. James was born April 23, 1939, in Garden City Kan., to the late Dale Keasling and Irene Barnes Keasling. He was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Graff. James was a member of Camp Ground United Methodist Church, where he also was a member of the King's Men. He was a graduate of Kansas State University and formerly was employed in sales at Smith International Truck Center. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2009, at Camp Ground United Methodist Church. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary, with the Revs. David C. Wade and Dennis Lamm officiating. James is survived by his wife of 45 years, Connie K. Keasling of the home; two daughters, Brenda Holland and husband Tony of Covington, Ga., and Michelle Jankite and husband John of Fayetteville; a son, Brian Keasling and wife Liz of Wilmington; a sister, Joyce Theander and husband Richard of Ashland, Kan.; a brother, Donald Keasling and wife Marjorie of Hutchinson, Kan.; and four grandchildren, Ashley Holland, Anna Holland, Zack Jankite and Elyse Keasling. Memorials may be made to Camp Ground United Methodist Church or the King's Men at Camp Ground Church, 4625 Campground Road, Fayetteville, NC 28314; or to the American Diabetes Association, 2418 Blue Ridge Road, Suite 206, Raleigh, NC 27607. Services entrusted to Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
