James Robert Mabe, 70, of Fayetteville passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021 at his residence.

Bobby was born on May 21, 1950 in Cumberland County to the late James Riley Mabe and Pauline Ashwell Mabe. He was employed as a Dental Lab Technician for the past 45 years with Cumberland Porcelain Laboratory. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was very talented in playing the guitar, piano and writing his own songs.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 11a.m. at Lafayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Dwayne French, and Larry Mabe.

Surviving are his sisters, Carolyn Carter and husband Jimmy of Rocky Mount, Sharon Ferrell of Fayetteville, Brenda Taylor and husband Bobby of Ocean Isle Beach, and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.
