James Evans McDavid 94, (Mac) of the Heritage Place, North Cool Springs Street in Fayetteville, NC, gently passed away in the early morning of November 15th. He was born in Greenville, SC on November 4, 1913. At age 6, he moved with his family to Sanford, North Carolina where he graduated from Sanford High School. While in attendance at State College, he was punter for the football team. McDavid also enrolled in the ROTC program. When his family was young, a business opportunity took him to New Orleans and later to Fayetteville, where he became one of that city
