Mr. James Britten O'Quinn, 72, of Linden, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 o'clock p.m. in Cedar Falls Baptist Church with Dr. John Hedgepeth officiating. The burial will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. He was owner and operator of Supreme Body Works; a member of Cedar Falls Baptist Church; and former employee of Bryan Pontiac. He was preceded in death by his parents Loye Britten and Ilean Withers O'Quinn. He is survived by his wife, Connie Maxwell O'Quinn of the home; son James Britten O'Quinn, II and wife, Dana Lynn, of Linden; brother, Tommy O'Quinn and wife, Patsy, of Linden; 5 sisters, Martha Boyette of Smithfield, Fannie Jordan and Dorothy Duffer, both of Fayetteville, Brenda Swann and husband, Richard, of Linden, and Becky Poston and husband, Jerry, of Fayetteville; his granddaughter, McKenzie Lynn O'Quinn; and his in-laws Gladys and Harold Schmidt of Fayetteville; brother-in-law, Glenn Maxwell and wife, Joy, of Fayetteville; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home.
