Mr. James Joseph Parisi, 83, of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center surrounded by his family.
A funeral service for Mr. James Joseph Parisi will be held on Monday, April 30, 2012 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church on Village Dr. at 10:30am. The funeral service officiated by Father Jack Kelly. The burial will take place at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery on Murchison Rd. at 12:00 Noon.
He was born on May 3, 1928 in Staten Island, NY, to the late Henry and Concetta Parisi.
He was a World War II Veteran serving in the United States Navy, Purple Heart Recipient, a member of the DVA (Disabled Veterans Association) and an honorary member of the Retired 82nd Airborne Unit.
James Parisi is preceded in death by one brother, Henry Parisi, and three sisters; Mary Parisi, Carmella Setaro, and Adelaide DeRosa
James Joseph Parisi is survived by his wife; Elsie M. Parisi of the home, daughter; Tracie Hartsock of Fayetteville, Sons; Joseph Parisi and wife Claudine of Fayetteville, Henry Parisi of Fayetteville, brother; Alfred Parisi, sister; Rose Pierzynkowski of Staten Island, NY, grandchildren; Thomas Krystal, Christina, Jessica, Michael, Brianna, Jennifer, Amanda, Jamie, and 5 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
