SFC James "Jim" Chilton Stice, U.S. Army Retired, 71, of Fayetteville, died Monday, February 17, 2014. Jim served his country for 20 years and served in the Vietnam War. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. After his retirement, his hobbies included camping, hunting and fishing. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 21, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren chapel, the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Friday, from 12 noon – 1 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chilton Jesse and Anna Blanche Josselyn Stice. Surviving are his wife of 46 years Sonthaya "Sunny" Stice ; daughter, Patty Russell and husband Robert; son, Jesse Stice and wife Lauren; brother, Edward Stice and wife Shryleen; grandchildren, Tyler and Hayden Stice, Kara Grisham and husband Derrek, Trenton and Kayli Russell; great grandchildren, Kayden, Ainsley and Jaxon Grisham; nieces, Heather Balsley and Kellie Young. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
