Mr. James Laury Tate, 91, of Fayetteville, died Monday, June 6, 2022, at his home with his family by his side.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, who was the love of his life.

James was born on May 12, 1931, in Vineland, NJ, to the late James Vincent Tate and Edna Laury Tate.  He served as a pastor for 70 years.

A memorial service will be held in New Jersey at a later date.

James is survived by two sons, Raymond Tate and wife Patti and Wayne Tate and wife Rachel; a daughter, Laurie Damico and husband David; nine grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
