WADE - Retired Army Maj. James F. Torpey, of 5324 Wade-Stedman Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010. Services: Funeral Mass, 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Burial, 10a.m. Tuesday in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Spring Lake. Visitation, 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. Rosary, 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Survived by: Wife, Marcy; children, Keven Swenson, James, and Michelle Swenson; and six grandchildren.
