James "Larry" Walker of East Fayetteville went to meet his Heavenly Father December 15, 2016. Larry was born on September 27, 1946 in Cumberland County, NC to James V. Walker and Florence Baker Walker.

Larry was employed by Defender Services at Goodyear Tire (Kelly Springfield) for over 41 years. Larry loved the Lord and has joined his Father James V. "Jimmy " Walker in Glory.

He is survived by his Mother Florence Walker, Sister Pamela Briggs (John), Brother Timothy Walker (Shirley). He was also loved by his Niece Dena Briggs Seals (Michael) Nephews Trent Walker (Deana), Todd Walker (Heather), Christopher Walker (Sandra) and Paul Briggs (Rachael). Great Nephews,Kyle Walker,Ethan Walker, Grant Seals, Luke Seals, Trent Walker II, Cole Walker and Declan Walker and Natalie Seals. He was preceded by Father Jimmy Walker, Nephews Stephen M.W. Briggs and Reid Seals.

Larry loved everyone and enjoyed being the "older Brother" He loved to sing Gospel songs.

Services will be at the Praise Fellowship Church of God where Larry was a Lifetime member. on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 11:30am to 1pm with the funeral following at 1pm in the church, Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. The family will also receive friends at the home of John & Pam Briggs, 623 Galloway Drive, Fayetteville, NC
