James (Jim) Francis Wynne 84, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.

Jim was a retired USAF MSGT where he proudly served in various capacities in avionics including instruction and later in the Vietnam war. He was born July 19, 1937, in Bay City, Michigan to Elsie Schmidt Wynne and Frank J Wynne.

Jim is predeceased by his beloved wife Claire Eleanor Meiselbach Wynne, who was his sweetheart for 57 years before her passing in 2014. He is also predeceased by his parents, his stepmother Helen Wynne, and stepbrothers Claude and Jack.

He is survived by his sister, Phyllis Wynne McClung and his five loving children: Robert J Wynne and wife Susan; Janet Reagan Dunkel and husband Dane; Barbara A Tubbs and husband William; Scott E Wynne and wife Gigi; and daughter Linda L Sam and husband David.

He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Robbin Reagan, Christina Reagan Tuttle, Eryn Reagan, Billy Tubbs, Ashley Tubbs Gonzalez, Anthony Wynne, Bobby Wynne, and Julie Wynne; and three great grandchildren: Nicole Wynne, Trent Wynne, and Layla Reagan Perry; and a host of other cousins, nephews, nieces, and special friends.

The family will receive friends at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, 3:00 p.m. Memorial services will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Full Military Honors
