Jamie Rennard DeVoile was born January 17, 1956 to the late Calvin & Yukia DeVoile of Sacramento, CA. He was the oldest of three boys. Jamie was married to his wife, Katherine, for 28 years. He retired from the US Army in 1995 after 21 years of faithful service. He worked as a paralegal in the civil service for 18 years and was a well-known subject matter expert within the US Army JAG Corps. Jamie was an avid golfer and a lover of animals, especially his Chihuahuas. His infectious personality and unique sense of humor were his hallmarks. In May of this year, Jamie traveled with Kathy on a beautiful tour of Italy for two weeks. Jamie made friends very easily and was always willing to "tell it like it is." He was a true patriot and a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. Jamie is survived by his wife, Katherine DeVoile, his brother, Leland DeVoile, his daughter, Lynette DeVoile and her sons, Camden and Sevan; his son, Anthony DeVoile, and his children, Olivia, Joshua and Andrew. A graveside service will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 11am in Manna Church 5117 Cliffdale Road Fayetteville, NC 28314.
