Obituary

Janet Swink, 74, of Fayetteville, died Friday, June 17, 2016 in her home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016, at 11 am in Camp Ground United Methodist Church with Rev. Dennis Lamm presiding. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Janet was born May 12, 1942, in Fayetteville, to the late Ernest James and Mary Bullard Jackson. She graduated from 71st High School in 1960 and later from Worth Business College. She worked as a credit manager with the Merchandise Mart where she was remembered for her fantastic memory (like an elephant) and her demeanor, as her nickname was Happy.

On July 6, 1974, she married the love of her life, Bobby; she became a full-time wife and loving mother, who for many years worked alongside her own mother to beautifully maintain their home, cook their meals and care for her family. She thoughtfully remembered every birthday and holiday with a card and/or present and always had time for her family whom she encouraged and nurtured continuously. Her grandsons became the light of her life, and she wanted to spend all the time she could with them, either face to face, by phone or video. She was the business administrator for her family and made sure all the necessary details were handled.

Janet is survived by her husband, Bobby Swink of the home; two daughters, Carol Wooten and husband, Todd, of Cary and Mary Heather Spillers and husband, Brett, of Clarksville, TN; and four grandsons, Christopher Wooten, Garrett Wooten, Emmett Spillers and Barrett Spillers.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday from 10 to 11 am in the church's Fellowship Hall.
