Jean Mielke Englebert, 81, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 17th.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at 1 pm in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. Tod Rappe presiding. The burial will follow at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.

She was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts to the late William and Eugenia Mielke. There she met her husband, Hubert C. Englebert, who was serving in the Air Force at Westover AFB, MA. They have three children.

She was a charter member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church where she served on various committees, including Altar Guild and Lutheran Women's Missionary League. Her most beloved priorities were her God, church, and her family.

She worked for Terry Keith at State Farm Insurance for the past 27 years. Prior to working for Terry Keith at State Farm Insurance, she worked at the Western Sizzlin Steakhouse.

She was a devout Christian who dearly loved her husband, children and grandson. She was a kind and gentle lady who saw good in everyone. She always had a smile on her face which would light up a room.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, and a grandson. Surviving to cherish her memory is her husband of 62 years, Hubert C. Englebert; daughters, Cheryl Snook and husband Sonny and Joy Allen and husband Randy; a son, Hubert C. Englebert, Jr.; and grandson, Daniel Allen.

In lieu of flowers the family asks memorials be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1605 Van Buren Ave., Fayetteville NC 28303.
