Jean Powell FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Jean Powell, 77, of Fayetteville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at Church of the Open Door with Dr. Ralph Richardson and the Rev. Harold Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park West. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. today at the church. Mrs. Powell is survived by her husband, Ted Powell; sons, Norman Powell and wife Christine and Thomas Powell and wife Leah; daughter, Frieda Martin and husband David; brother, James Bailey; sisters, Faye Roberts and Gayle Byrd; and nine grandchildren, Amanda and Jennifer Powell, Trevor Hughes, Jared and Rachel Powell, Sarah, David Jr., Anna and Caleb Martin.
