Beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, Jeanette Hudson Pierce, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2006, in her home, with her family by her side. She was born April 2, 1939, in Johnston County to George and Lalon Norris Hudson. Mrs. Pierce was an assistant manager of Advance in Fayetteville for 17 years. A service to celebrate the life of Jeanette will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home Chapel in Fayetteville, with the Revs. Frank Lee and Teresa Strickland officiating. Burial will be in LaFayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence C. Pierce. Mrs. Pierce is survived by her two sons, Kenneth A. Pierce and Micheal W. Pierce, both of Linden; daughter, Debra J. Chesterman of Lacey, Wash.; two brothers, Larry Hudson, and George Hudson and his wife, Nell, all of Fayetteville; sister, Ina J. Tipton and her husband, Stanley, of Linden; and three grandchildren, Laura Chesterman, Chystal Chesterman and Calab Chesterman. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9, Saturday night at the funeral home.
